Abstract
We present an adaptive method that allows to control or synchronize ch aotic systems to a goal behavior in presence of large additive noise. The method is based on a state-parameter estimator, the Kalman filter, and requires the previous knowledge of the system dynamics. We show t he robustness of the procedure in the presence of large noise both in discrete and continuous systems.
