Abstract
Representational redescription (RR) poses a significant challenge to c ognitive science, but Karmiloff-Smith underestimates the extent to whi ch some current computational models already engage in RR. Moreover, a large part of the existing challenge is to produce convincing psychol ogical evidence that deserves to be modeled. Finally, task constraints are essential for success in both psychological theorizing and modeli ng.
