Abstract
The mechanisms of nonradiative transitions in trivalent lanthanide ion s in solutions are discussed. This phenomenon is shown to be applicabl e for investigation of structure and stability constants of Ln3+ compl exes. It is shown that the stability constants may be determined and l abile bridge binuclear complexes of Ln3+ ions may be detected using en ergy transfer between rare earth ions. The spectral-luminescent method s of fast ligand exchange rates determination in solutions of lanthani de complexes are considered.
