Spontaneous rupture of the kidney is an uncommon entity. In most cases
the non-traumatic rupture is associated with underlying diseases of t
he kidney, the most frequent being renal tumours. We report the case o
f a spontaneous kidney rupture due to a renal metastasis from an adeno
carcinoma of the colon.
