The temperature dependence of the torque moment, galvanomagnetic Hall
effect and magnetoresistance of ferrimagnetic amorphous films prepared
by sputtering GD+Co were investigated in the temperature region which
included a compensation temperature T-kappa. Anomalies in the depende
nces of all three characteristics were observed and these were connect
ed with an inhomogeneity in the chemical composition of the films. An
approximate method of estimating the film chemical homogeneity was pro
posed, based on an analysis of the films magnetic properties
