Loxotis Buck is predated by Loxotis R. Brown ex Bentham. Toloxis is of fered as a replacement name. Toloxis imponderosa (Tayl.) Buck, T. semi torta (C. Mull.) Buck, and T. borchgrevinkii (Kiaer ex C. Mull.) Buck are new combinations.
