Abstract
The preparation of {[SeP][AlCl4]}(n) in essentially quantitative yield by reaction of [SeCl3][AlCl4] with PH3 in phosphine solution is repor ted. The novel selenium-phosphorus compound is stable at room temperat ure, sensitive towards pressure and mechanical treatment and was ident ified by IR spectroscopy as polymeric.
