Abstract
The results of a study of inheritance of the ''waxless'' trait in samp les of two tetraploid wheat species, Triticum durum Desf. and T. polon icum L., are represented. Dominance of the ''waxless'' trait, its mono genic control, and the allelism of genes determining this trait are sh own for all studied samples of both species. Location of the gene was performed by the monosomic genetic analysis method, and chromosome 2B was shown to be critical.
