Abstract
A methanol extract of Heteranthemis viscidehirta gave two known sequit erpene lactones laurenobiolide and 2alpha-hydroxylaurenobiolide. The s tructures of these compounds were substantiated by high field H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy in comparison with the literature data. The inse ct antifeedant activity of the methanol extract and the isolated sesqu iterpenes has been determined.
