I. Krantz et al., ON THE EPIDEMIOLOGY OF NOCTURNAL ENURESIS - A CRITICAL-REVIEW OF METHODS USED IN DESCRIPTIVE EPIDEMIOLOGIC STUDIES ON NOCTURNAL ENURESIS, Scandinavian journal of urology and nephrology, 1994, pp. 75-82
Existing descriptive epidemiology of enuresis nocturna does not give a
reliable foundation for analytical and interventive studies. Valid an
d comparable data are scarce and quantitative as well as qualitative a
spects need to be discussed more for this affliction with its complex
background of biological and socio-cultural determinants. Studies on r
andomly selected population are few which further complicates generali
zations and comparisons. Bedwetting is a proper challenge for an inter
disciplinary research approach.
