Cvc. Glover et al., STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF SACCHAROMYCES-CEREVISIAE CASEIN KINASE-II, Cellular & molecular biology research, 40(5-6), 1994, pp. 481-488
Analysis of casein kinase II in organisms amenable to genetic manipula
tion is essential to elucidating the physiological function(s) of this
ubiquitous protein kinase. This paper summarizes work from our labora
tory on the enzyme from Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The biochemistry, mo
lecular biology, and genetics of S. cerevisiae casein kinase II are re
viewed and discussed.
