Abstract
A paper about the ethical status of the child in family therapy and ch ild therapy published by the authors in this journal gave rise to crit icism. To respond to the critics six systemic therapist were asked to comment on the paper. The results are presented. The paper is conclude d by ideas of the authors concerning the future of the ethical discour se in psychotherapy.
