One knows that the determination of the functional group in a chain of
polymer is difficult owing mainly to small concentration in the total
polymer mass. In order to determine the liquid polyisoprene (PILH) an
d liquid polybutadiene (PBLH) hydroxilated functionality's a modificat
ion of the terminal groups was performed. A functionality determinatio
n technique by H-1-NMR was developed using phenyl or naphthyl isocyana
te as reagents. The results were compared with the functionality obtai
ned through the titration technique with 3,5-dinitrobenzoyl chloride a
s reagent.
