Abstract
1-Alkoxy-1-alkynes and 1-phenylthio-1-alkynes add Me(3)Si-SnMe(3) in t he presence of catalytic amounts of Pd(0). Clean syn-addition is obser ved with the Me(3)Sn group being placed exclusively alpha to the heter oatom. The regio- and stereochemistry was confirmed by NMR spectroscop y and X-ray analysis. 1-Alkoxy-1-alkynes also add Me(3)Sn-SnMe(3) unde r similar conditions.
