INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND LIBRARIANSHIP - DEVELOPMENT OF AN INNOVATIVE PROGRAM THROUGH A COOPERATIVE LINK SCHEME

This article describes the development of a cooperative initiative bet ween an existing Department of Library and Information Studies at the University of Papua New Guinea, and an Information Management group ba sed within a Faculty of Science and Technology at Deakin University. T he nature of the programs being developed is outlined, as are the mech anics for ensuring collaborative development between the two link inst itutions.
