Abstract
The synthesis of N-alkoxycarbonyl and N-carboxamide derivatives of ant i-inflammatory oxindoles is described. These compounds, sought as pote ntial prodrugs of the parent anti-inflammatory agents, were obtained b y ring opening of the oxadiazine dione intermediates formed by the tre atment of 1-unsubstituted 3-acyloxindoles with chlorocarbonyl isocyana te.
