Abstract
Quantum mechanically accurate calculations are carried out for the MuH-2 and Mu+D-2 reactions using the hyperspherical coordinate approach. The results for the rate constant are in good agreement with experime nt. Comparisons are also made with other more approximate calculations . The effect of initial rotational excitation and final rotational sta te distribution are also analyzed.
