A. Millward et al., IN-VITRO TECHNIQUES FOR EROSIVE LESION FORMATION AND EXAMINATION IN DENTAL ENAMEL, Journal of oral rehabilitation, 22(1), 1995, pp. 37-42
An in vitro experimental model has been developed for erosive lesion f
ormation in dental enamel which can mimic in vivo conditions at the to
oth surface. The features of this model provide a very reproducible me
thod of producing erosive lesions in several teeth under identical con
ditions which can be varied to allow examination of a number of differ
ent parameters. A replica impression technique has also been developed
for subsequent non-destructive microscopic examination of the lesions
and comparison with in vivo lesions.
