Abstract
The approach of forming self-assembled monolayers on the surface of fu sed silica capillaries has been evaluated for capillary electrophoresi s of proteins. Two polymer matrices (polymerized acrylamide or methacr yloyl-Tris) were successfully grafted on the self-assembled monolayers , as evidenced by electroosmotic flow measurements and efficient separ ations of model proteins.
