Abstract
The phase diagrams of the YbI2-AI (A Na, K, Rb, Cs) systems have been measured by differential thermal analysis and X-ray powder diffraction . A set of thermodynamic functions have been optimized based on an int eractive computer-assisted analysis. The optimized phase diagrams and thermodynamical data are self-consistent.
