Abstract
The geochemical peculiarities of carbonatites and the regularities of ore concentration in alkaline-carbonatite complexes are considered at the base of new petrogenetic model. According to the model the carbona tites are considered as final products of mantle/crustal fluid-magmati c systems. Along with mantle magmatic differentiation the carbonatitic components are accumulated in metamagmatic processes i.e. carbonatisa tion and alkali advent as a result of carbon dioxide flux from mantle/ crust and meteoric sources. General classification of carbonatite-alka line rock series is presented based on alkaline-carbonatite complexes of Europe, America, Africa and India. The concentration factors of rar e metals (Nb, TR etc) are considered in concern with open or closed ty pe of a system, abyssal level and metasomatic process scale.
