Abstract
We present a FORTRAN program that can be used to determine the economi c, statistical, or economic-statistical design of a fraction defective or defects per unit chart. In the economic design approach, the gener al Lorenzen-Vance cost function is minimized. In statistical design, w e find designs which meet constraints on average run length while in c ontrol and while in a variety of out-of-control states. Economic-stati stical designs are based on Saniga's approach, which minimizes the cos t function subject to statistical constraints.
