Abstract
Indices of econiche overlapping were determined as a result of studies of actinomycete successions in chernozem. Conditions for the isolatio n of actinomycetes belonging to particular taxa were found. Ecological niches of the species belonging to the series Violaceus and Aureus of the section Cinereus were the closest, and ecological niches of Ciner eus Achromogenes and Cinereus Chromogenes were the most separated, The latest stages of succession (days 36 - 62 of the experiment) were fav orable for most actinomycete species.
