The physicochemical properties of magnesium fluoride and chromium-magn
esium fluoride catalyst, and their activities in dehydrochlorination a
nd fluorination of chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons have been studie
d as functions of preparation conditions. The optimal characteristics
of the catalysts (S-sp, V-Sigma, V-mi, V-ma, P) with respect to dehydr
ochlorination of tetrachloropropane and fluorination of trifluorotrich
loroethane have been found. The dependence of the activities of MgF2 a
nd CrF3/MgF2 on their porous structure has been revealed. The optimal
technological parameters have been determined, which ensure preparatio
n of magnesium fluoride and chromium-magnesium fluoride catalysts with
required physicochemical properties.
