Abstract
The formal kinetics of the process of dinitrotriethylbenzene preparati on by the nitration of triethylbenzene with sulfur-nitrogen mixtures w as studied. It was shown that the process of triethylbenzene nitration proceeds in two sequential stages formally obeying a first-order equa tion. The heat effects and effective rate constants for each stage of the process were found.
