Abstract
A mathematical model for numerical computation of the absorption proce ss in apparatus of direct and counterflow type at varied distribution. and overall mass-transfer factors is presented. The model takes into account the longitudinal mixing in a column in the approximation of a single-parameter diffusion model. Absorption of HF and SO2 with distri bution factors significantly dependent on their concentration in gas a nd liquid phases is calculated.
