Abstract
Plant alkaloids can cause dysrhythmias or myocardial damage. Vinorelbi ne (Navelbine(R)) is a new hemisynthetic vinka alkaloid used in the tr eatment of lung, breast, ovarian cancers and lymphomas. Few case repor ts about the myocardial toxicity of Vinorelbine have been published. T he authors describe a case report of acute myocardial toxicity induced by Vinorelbine injection in a 61 year old breast cancer woman followe d by a review of Vinorelbine cardiotoxicity.
