Abstract
A positive relation between age and volume of administrative responsib ility was found in a sample of 96 academic psychologists who had held faculty appointments for 1 to 23 years. In cross-sectional analyses, a ge correlated positively with number of committee seats occupied (weig hted according to importance), with an average r = .33. A trend analys is showed a significant linear increase in administrative responsibili ty over time.
