D. Simon et H. Elsherief, REAL-TIME NAVIGATION USING THE GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM, IEEE aerospace and electronic systems magazine, 10(1), 1995, pp. 31-37
This paper presents the results of an investigation of the application
of the Global Positioning System (GPS) to real-time integrated missil
e navigation. We present quantifiable measures of navigation accuracy
as a function of GPS user segment parameters. These user segment param
eters include antenna phase response accuracy, single versus dual freq
uency, and Kalman filter structure and size. We also formulate some ne
w phase-locked loop (PLL) filter designs for application in GPS receiv
ers, and demonstrate their superiority over more conventional filters.
