Abstract
In this paper we present an algorithm for finding a subset from a larg e number of alternatives. The criterion for selecting this subset is b ased on the assumption that ultimately one alternative will be chosen and implemented from this subset. Some areas of application for the su bset selection techniques are presented. Extensions of this research a re suggested.
