A computer-aided system is developed for the more effective choice and
optimization of the design and manufacturing technologies of the supe
rconductor for the magnet system of the International Thermonuclear Ex
perimental Reactor (ITER) with the aim to ensure the superconductor ce
rtification. The computer-aided system provides acquisition, processin
g, storage and display of data describing the proceeding tests, the de
tection of any parameter deviations and their analysis. Besides, it ge
nerates commands for the equipment switch off in emergency situations.
