Abstract
A set of services has been developed forming the core of a simple gene ric tool kit for distributed controls applications. The system is base d on the Entity-Relationship model and the ADAMO data management syste m. It allows data sharing and synchronization between various processe s acquiring data, running control and supervision algorithms, detectin g faults, allowing user interaction and interfacing to external applic ations. The system is highly parametrizable, thus flexible and re-usab le. It is being used at CERN in several applications for the control, monitoring, and diagnostics of accelerator components.
