Abstract
The latest developments in laboratory analytical detection are why we are talking today about dioxins, furans and AOX in the fully bleached kraft pulp process using chlorine. The detection of these substances w ill involve very expensive modifications in many mills. The main goal is to cut all chlorine use. There are many reasons why mills are going to change their for example, customer demand, environmental conservat ion and future environ processes, mental regulations. At the same time , mills are using these opportunities to modernize equipment and proce sses, and to make sure that the quality of their products will stay th e same.
