Abstract
The deoxyribose ring in the title compound adopts the twist conformati on (T-2(3)) with a glycosyl torsion angle of 231.0(6)degrees. The pseu do-rotation parameters are P = 180.29(5)degrees and tau(m) = 38.3(5)de grees. The exocyclic side chain at C5' has the t conformation [gamma = 174.8(11)degrees]. The ethyl group at C5 is on the same side of the p yrimidine plane as the O4' atom of the furanose ring.
