Abstract
Cross-modulation distortion arising from the dynamic nonlinearity of a semiconductor laser is shown to be an important entity in a multicarr ier fiber optic system. The interplay between cross-modulation distort ion and intermodulation distortion is investigated for lasers operatin g at 1.3 and 0.835 mu m.
