Abstract
Placopyrenium bucekii (Nadv. et Serv.) Breuss, recently discovered in SE of France (Provence, Maures mountain, Var department) is studied co ncerning morphology, anatomy, chorology and ecology and compared with other Verrucariaceae of western Europe, notably for ascal dehiscence a nd pycnidiaI structure.
