Abstract
Voucher specimens reveal the following fungi are misidentifications: C oniothecium sp., Cylindrosporium sp., Leptosphaerulina trifolii, Erysi phe communis var. urticirun,, Dendrophoma marconii, and Phyllosticta c annabis. Inconsistent exsiccati by Rabenhorst (Ascochyta cannabis, Spi losphaeria cannabis) and Briosi & Cavara (Dendrophoma marconii) probab ly represent substitutions. Voucher specimens could not be located for nine other fungi cited in the Cannabis literature: Chaetomium gramini s, Cladosporium resinae, Colletotricum lini, Diplodia maydis, Fusarium graminearum, Melampsora cannabis, Neocosmospora vasinfecfa, Pythium d ebaryanum, Septoria graminum; compelling arguments for these being mis identifications are presented. Three other fungi are cited on the wron g host plant (i.e., not on Cannabis): Mycosphaerella superflua, Lasiod iplodia theobromae, and Volutella sp.
