Abstract
A new method for the preparation of chromone-3-sulfonyl urea derivativ es 20 and 22, starting with the enaminones 18 and 21, chlorosulfonyl i socyanate and 4-chloroaniline is described. Beyond that, reaction of s ulfonamide 8 with phenyl isocyanate furnishes the chromone-3-sulfonyl urea 17. Atempts to prepare sulfonyl ureas from the carbamates 9-12, d erived from the sulfonamide 8, were not successful.
