Abstract
The time evolution of hypercycles has been studied extensively since t he 70s; recently, attention was also given to the spatial self-structu ring observed in discrete two-dimensional models. In this paper, we de monstrate the effect of inhibitory connections among the hypercycle sp ecies, both on temporal and spatio-temporal evolution.
