Abstract
We report a study of multiphonon resonant Raman scattering in a series of symmetric (ZnSe)(d)(ZnS1-xSex)(d) superlattices (SL), 20 Angstrom less than or equal to d less than or equal to 150 Angstrom. In additio n to confined optical phonons, the energies of interface (IF) modes wi th in-plane wavevectors have been assessed by means of micro-probe Ram an measurements in backscattering from the SL edge. The comparison bet ween one- and two-phonon spectra shows that the electron-phonon intera ction is dominated by ZnSe-like IF phonons for d < 50 Angstrom, wherea s LO(2) phonons prevail for larger well.
