Hall-effect and critical magnetic fields H-c2(T) have been studied for
YNi2B2C (prepared using high pressure technique) at H less than or eq
ual to 130 kOe and 1.6 less than or equal to T less than or equal to 3
00K. The normal state Hall coefficient R(H) was found to be negative (
R(H)=1.43 . 10(-11) Omega cm/Oe at T=4.2 K and H=130 kOe) and slightly
growing in absolute value with increase of temperature. The dependenc
e of the Hall voltage on magnetic field in the mixed superconducting s
tate shows no sign reversal as was observed earlier for some high-T-c
systems. The values of \partial derivative H-c2/partial derivative T\
and H-c2(0) are found to be 4.8 kOe/K and 47 kOe respectively.
