Abstract
Local magnetization measurements using micro Hall probes were carried out on a quasi two-dimensional organic superconductor kappa-(BEDT-TTF) (2)Cu(NCS)(2). Peak structures in the local magnetization hysteresis l oops were found at around 50 G. We ascribe this anomaly to the field-i nduced decomposition of vortex lines into pancake vortices, which is f ound in a high temperature superconductor Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y. Mixed state phase diagram in kappa-(BEDT-TTF)(2)Cu(NCS)(2) is compared with that in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y.
