The analysis of the mechanisms of two-magnon Raman spectra formation i
n the quasi-two-dimensional antiferromagnetic crystal NH3(CH2)2NH3MnCl
4 has been done on the basis of Raman scattering and light absorption
experimental data. The calculations of the magnon density of states an
d polarization selection rules of the two-magnon Raman spectra are car
ried out in the frame of the four-sublattice model of antiferromagneti
c crystal layers.
