Emission spectra of 11 extragalactic radio sources in a quiescent stat
e and during bursts are analyzed in the frequency range 4.5 - 380 GHz.
Quiescent spectra are explained by synchrotron radiation of a complet
ely developed jet in a radial magnetic field of an active-nucleus sour
ce (hedgehog model), whereas the spectra of bursts are accounted for b
y the emission from new components in a jet ejected from the nucleus.
