Abstract
The formation of donor-acceptor complexes of gamma-cyclodextrin-C-60-g amma-cyclodextrin (CD-C-60-CD) with electron-rich amines and sulphur c ompounds was studied in aqueous solution. The stoichiometry, equilibri um constants and extinction coefficients of the charge transfer comple xes were determined by steady state absorption measurements. Picosecon d time-resolved studies on CD-C-60-CD showed the formation of C-60 tri plets, which were found to decrease with increasing concentration of 1 ,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO).
