Abstract
Deformation-induced residual stresses in cups of CuZn sheet produced b y deep-drawing and similar forming processes were determined by means of neutron diffraction. The experimental procedure is described. Test results were compared with those of X-ray diffraction and mechanical m ethods whereby only neutron diffraction enables to determine the distr ibution of residual stresses in sheet thickness direction.
