Abstract
Experiments with varying filter bandwidth in a soliton fiber laser are
reported, Continuous tuning over 50 nm was obtained for pulses of < 4
00 fs duration. It is demonstrated that the spectral sidebands due to
periodic perturbations may be reduced to at least 17 dB below the peak
of the pulse spectrum without affecting pulse duration.
