M. Busacca et al., LAPAROSCOPIC GONADECTOMY IN 2 PATIENTS WITH COMPLETE ANDROGEN-INSENSITIVITY-SYNDROME, Journal of gynecologic surgery, 10(4), 1994, pp. 259-261
Patients with Morris syndrome are genetic males with female phenotype
who have a 25% chance of developing a malignancy in the dysgenetic gon
ad. Gonadectomy at laparotomy has always been the elective procedure i
n patients with complete testicular feminization. We performed the sam
e intervention at laparoscopy in 2 patients. A shorter operating time
and less postoperative care are required, the risk of infective compli
cations is lower, and psychologic stress is less.
