Vs. Asovich et al., FLUORINATION OF METHANE AND ITS FLUORINE DERIVATIVES BY COBALT TRIFLUORIDE, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 67(1), 1994, pp. 94-96
Fluorination of methane is studied with the aim of using difluorometha
ne and trifluoromethane as promising ozone-safe refrigerants. Principa
l kinetic features of fluorination of methane, difluoromethane, and tr
ifluoromethane in gas phase are determined. Activation energies and pr
eexponential factors of the rate constants of the main reactions are p
resented. The process studied is shown to be promising for industrial
production of fluoromethanes.
