A technique of obtaining sorbents for influenzal virus purification fr
om accompanying protein admixtures has been developed, which involves
treating the surface of macroporous glass with 3-aminopropyltriethoxys
ilane with subsequent grafting of amino acids by activated ester metho
d. Efficient purification of the virus preparation may be achieved wit
h the help of the sorbents obtained, with hemagglutinating activity be
ing increased in some cases after gel chromatography.
